Updated August 12, 2026. The 12 genre labels and their slice artwork were checked as a genre prompt—not a live catalog—and the multi-film Results order was tested with winner removal. Source: editorial movie-night genre set, checked August 12, 2026.
Before spinning, write down the latest finish time, the services or discs actually available, subtitle and audio-description needs, age suitability, rental budget, and any hard content vetoes. These filters matter more than the randomizer. A result that nobody can access is not surprising—it means the candidate list was never ready.
The starter wheel contains 12 familiar genres: Action, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Animation, Documentary, Mystery, Romance, and Family. One spin narrows a huge catalog to a shelf-sized direction. After the result, browse only that genre on the service you use and apply the agreed runtime and audience filters. Genre labels overlap, so a title does not need to fit one box perfectly for this casual workflow.
Each person contributes the same number of films that are available now and acceptable to everyone. Remove duplicates, include a release year where two titles share a name, and paste the shortlist into Import. Decide whether the first spin is final or whether the entire group has one shared veto. Individual unlimited vetoes simply recreate the endless-scroll problem inside a wheel.
A practical rule for four viewers: two eligible titles each, one group veto total, then accept the next result.
Keep spoilers, account names, and rental codes outside visible wheel labels.
Classic mode is right for a single film. For a weekend marathon, switch to Turn Queue and label the slots Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night. Put eligible titles in Options, turn Remove winner on, and let each slot receive a different film. Results preserves the schedule order; it does not check whether the combined runtime fits, so add breaks and finish times yourself.
The tool forces the group to expose the shortlist before selection. Everyone can see what is eligible, Remove winner prevents a marathon repeat, Results settles what came first, Full screen works for a living-room vote, and Share lets remote friends inspect the same setup. The benefit is not a secret recommendation formula—it is a stopping rule that the group can understand.
This page has no streaming catalog, cinema schedule, review score, regional rating database, or live price feed. A film may leave a service or differ by country without this preset changing. Confirm the selected title on the provider you use, and use official rating and accessibility information appropriate to your location before starting the film.
